Use DNS Bypass Protection to help keep supported apps on the doxx.net DNS path.

• Prevent supported apps and connections from sidestepping your filtering with a different resolver.
• Use alongside Smart Blocking so the chosen DNS policy can do its job.

To enable and learn more, navigate in the app to: Account → Settings ⚙ → DNS and Domains → DNS Bypass Protection.

2.Common Questions

Why would an app bypass my chosen DNS?

Some browsers and apps use a resolver of their own. That can take their lookups outside the filtering you've configured for the connection.

Is DNS Bypass Protection the same as Secure DNS?

No. Encrypted DNS protects the lookup in transit. Bypass protection manages which resolver handles it.

Does this work on every possible connection?

The feature applies to supported connections. Don't assume a DNS setting affects traffic outside the doxx.net connection or every browser and app configuration.
