API and MCP
Through doxx.net’s API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools, an authorized agent can create tunnels and manage IP addresses, DNS settings and firewall rules, with the access that you give it.

Tell your agent what you want your network to do. Give it the doxx.net skill and the permissions it needs to manage your network. See Setting up with AI for the steps.
For the API and MCP instructions, point your agent to config.doxx.net.
1.Features
Within the permissions you grant, your agent can:
- Create tunnels.
- Manage IP addresses.
- Configure DNS.
- Update firewall rules.
- Enable ad blocking.
- Check connection status.
Manage private domain names and their DNS records through the documented network tools.
2.Common Questions
What can I ask the agent to do?
Try a specific request, such as ‘connect these two devices privately,’ ‘enable ad blocking on this tunnel,’ or ‘show me which devices are connected.’ Ask it to explain the changes before applying them.
Do I need to know the API commands?
No. The skill and configuration reference give the agent the technical instructions. You describe the result you want and decide what access to allow.
Will I be asked to approve every API call?
Don't assume there is an approval popup for every change. Token permissions control what the tools can do; set your approval requirements in the agent's workflow as well.
Does allowing the agent to configure my network automatically let it chat with friends?
No. Network-management permissions and gateway contact permissions are separate.
