We did not want a signup flow. We wanted a network you could be on before you had decided to trust us with anything.

Sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore. The proof-of-work enrolment is the part people ask about most, because it is the part that is genuinely unusual: the account is a keypair your device generated and a proof it did the work, and that is the entire identity.
